ARCHIVAL and TRANSFER SERVICES

Camp Street Studios offers a full range of tape to digital transfer, tape
preservation, and digital updating services. Many old analog reels cannot be played until they have been baked for 24-48 hours in a dehydrating oven. We can assess the condition of your reels, bake them if necessary, and transfer to the latest industry standard protools HD format. If you had reels transferred years ago to an earlier digital format we can retransfer at the new higher sample rates or update your digital files to the current format so you can work on them more easily. We can provide rough mixes or fully remixed stereo masters if you like. Any reel size and format is fine including:

We also have Dolby A, Dolby SR, and DBX noise reduction available if your tape was originally recorded with any of those systems. We have extensive experience with all formats and we also offer tape storage if you have reels sitting in your bedroom that you want to put somewhere safe. Every project is different so rates are based on how big the project is and how much we’re doing to the material after we transfer it. We do not offer digital hard drive data recovery but we can often solve small problems with corrupt files or improper hard drive formatting.
